Summary
The Regional Head is responsible for overseeing the investment strategy and the trankredit northern team. As the head of the business subsidiary, the candidate will work with clients to develop appropriate financial and investment goals, investment policies, risk management frameworks, risk budgets and de-risking portfolios as appropriate for the company. He/She will also conduct due diligence on investment opportunities, select or recommend appropriate managers for investments.
Job Description
• Responsible for driving the implementation of strategic initiatives that sustain/ improve the organization’s competitive advantage within its operating environment.
• Drive the optimization of shareholder value whilst balancing all other competitive stakeholder needs.
• Develop methodologies for investment strategies and drive the organization to achieve its operational and financial targets.
• Responsible for maximizing productivity and monitoring of investment performance across board.
• Lead teams in creating and developing diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower surplus volatility consistent with time horizon, risk tolerance and liquidity needs of clients.
• Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization’s current activities and its projected growth.
• Develop and implement the organization’s business strategy as well as provide day to day strategic oversight of the organization’s operations.
• Supervise and conduct analysis, prepare materials and direct clients on investment and financial issues.
• Works with the sales team of professionals to originate, analyze, finance, close, manage and sell investment plans.
• Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with Regulatory bodies.
• Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external.
• Provides Timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating conditions of the business.
• Directs the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad organizational goals and growth objectives.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Requirements
• Degree from an accredited institution, complemented by a Masters or MBA degree with emphasis on finance. A CFA/CIS certification would also be preferable.
• Must possess minimum of 15 years post qualification experience in a leading financial services institution, with at least 5 years of being a top managerial executive.
• Good Understanding of the concepts, standards and procedures relating to individual and group lending, at they pertain to micro-finance.
• Experience in implementing microfinance products and services in an emerging market, and be able to lead creative service delivery in a sustainable manner, in areas with limited infrastructure.
• Previous experience in managing a medium to large mfb or lending company.
